DEVASTATING the lyric you've been mishearing is better than the real one
would you like to play with me?
I forget sometimes how long words tend to get in icelandic
Reading a book and half of a line is just one word. And it's the longer half
Did you guys know that the Icelandic word for detective is "rannsóknarlögreglumaður"
Oh that one's actually at a pretty normal length, it's just "einkaspæjari" (which technically just means "private spy" but that's the word we have for it)
"rannsóknarlögreglumaður" can actually be broken down into three words (Icelandic loves to shove multiple words into one) like this:
Rannsókn = investigation
Lögregla* = police
Maður = man
Rannsóknarlögreglumaður ~ investigator-policeman, aka detective.
*fun fact, lögregla can also be broken down into two words, lög (law) and regla (rule). Investigator-lawruleman. This makes perfect sense.
Feeding bears leads to bears being put down. End of story. Full stop. They get three chances of being relocated if they’re lucky. After the forth time rolls around that they’re spotted approaching humans, they’re shot. That’s the policy. Because bears associating humans with food will just fully kill people.
This person is bragging about getting wildlife killed. And feeding foxes in a continent with rabies is asking for trouble.
